​At River Road Dental we provide a range of conservative restorative treatments.
We use advanced pain free technology to manage and treat dental decay. At River Road Dental our restorative work is done using Composite fillings because of their excellent properties and tooth colored appearance. They are made from a plastic resin and fillers, and are chemically bonded to the teeth. A range of shades are available so that the colour of your teeth can be matched very closely, making the filling almost impossible to see. We are proud to be an amalgam-free practice. Dental amalgam is a silver coloured filling material made of a blend of metals bound together by Mercury. If you have amalgam fillings, mercury vapour may be released when you chew or grind your teeth. At River Road Dental we do not place amalgam fillings but are able to safely remove old amalgam fillings when required.
